About Me
Hi! My name is Kristy Kirby and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I earned my Masters in Counseling, specializing in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling (MFCC) from CSU, Sacramento where I also completed my undergraduate work and my BA in Liberal Studies.

I started out in the business world, but while involved in volunteer activities I quickly realized I had a passion for helping others. I started volunteering with organizations such as CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) and very much enjoyed working with the children. I decided to leave the business world and found a job at a nonprofit organization where I did administrative work and gained experience in the field, eventually becoming a counselor. I decided to continue my studies and completed the necessary courses to earn my Masters Degree and become an MFT.

Over the past 18 years, I have provided therapeutic services to clients from 4 years old through adulthood including the older adult population. I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, residential treatment facilities and outpatient clinics. I have been working in my private practice setting since 2010.

I am affiliated with the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
