Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

 

California law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist. Without written permission from the client(s), information cannot be disclosed except under certain conditions where mandated by law.

 

Exceptions include suspected child abuse, elder abuse and dependant adult abuse; serious, imminent threats of danger directed at a specific

individual(s); Court orders in which a psychotherapist is ordered to appear or provide records.

 

Suicidal threats will be taken seriously. Although I will make every effort to seek a client's assistance with their own personal safety, I will take the necessary actions provided to me by law.
